Hair Kit Essentials
These are the products I’ve been using on all my bridal clients recently. I love trying out new brands and will sometimes switch out some of the products, however, I have found that these are like my GO TO products that I will always revert back to.
1st – GHD 1.25 curling iron – This curling iron is one of the best in the market. It heats up to 365 degrees only which is is hot enough to curl the hair and create long lasting looks without completely burning off your hair. Yeah, I’m looking at you.. turning up your iron to 450 degrees. Stop it! Any who, I have been loving this curling iron and it creates the silkiest bounciest curls!
2nd – Texture Spray – Not all texture sprays are created equal but I have a couple that are my GO TO. I love the IGK & Kevin Murphy texture sprays. I recently got the Oribe texture spray which comes highly recommended and is a best seller so I can’t wait to try on all my looks.
3rd – Volume Powder – If you use volume powder, try to find one with a pump! It makes it so much easier to get the product on your hair. The one I’ve been using is big sexy hair and Amika. However, I also love Oligo and Design Me volume powders. This is great for teasing and adding volume to glam waves.
4th – Kenra Heat Protectant spray – This spray is great to help prep the hair before any look. It provides heat protection while also providing hold for curling. This is great for people who have a hard time keeping their curls to hold.
5th – 1″ bioionic curling iron – this curling iron has a super long barrel which is amazing for long hair! I grab it like 95% of the time to prep all of my looks!
6th – Kenra texture taffy – Want to get rid of frizz? Use this! I scoop out a dime amount into my hand and rub together, then clap my hands over my head as they separate there will be this ‘web like’ texture falling on to your hair and this will help smooth out the flyaways. This is also good for updos and creating polished and slicked looks.
7th – Kenra shine spray – this one is pretty self explanatory.. its a shine spray! I use this towards the end of the look to polish and refine and get rid of any remaining frizz.
8th – Kitsch dual comb brushes – one side is like a brush and the other is a comb. This is used when I need to smooth down any baby hairs around the hair line or to smooth out some frizz. I use the comb side to tease around the bang or fringe area. This is my go to tool and I’m obsessed!
9th – Kenra Volume Spray – This is the spray I use to seal off the look and make it last all day. I don’t spray this until the very end! (if your tease isn’t staying in place, i would spray a little of this on the teased area to make it stay).
Of course I have plenty of other tools and products I use, but that will be a post for another time!
Hope you try some of these products!
