Bridal Hair Inspiration

Wedding season is in full swing here in Texas!

Is there even a wedding “season” anymore? I actually don’t think there is. It seems that more and more people are choosing dates all throughout the year, no matter the month or date.

Among the many things that a future bride has to think about besides the dress, venue, guest list etc. is the hair and makeup!

Today I wanted to share the current bridal hair trends and which looks go best with your hair type! If you want me to a do a bridal makeup post, leave a comment below or let me know on my Instagram what looks you want me to cover!

Hollywood Waves:

OH, the classic hollywood wave! This look is so timeless and elegant and it really looks good on anyone.

This hairstyle will look the best with longer, thicker hair or if your hair is on the finer side; extensions will be the best option for you!

Glam Waves with Middle Part:

This look is a Hollywood wave with the front section of your hair tied in the back or pinned down on the sides. This is great for someone who wants to have their hair down but does not like to have anything touching their face. Again, this look is best achieved with extensions, but even if you don’t have super long hair, you can still pull it off! Hillary Duff did something similar for her most recent wedding!

Tousled Updo:

Updo’s are very popular but alot of people don’t like them or think they look weird with their hair up (me included) but can be really flattering if done right and look so elegant! Updo’s are a great way to change it up especially if you wear your hair down all the time and need something different.

The great thing about “tousled” or “textured” updo’s is they are meant to look un-done and you can easily play with the fringe pieces and leave some hair out that best fits your face or dress style.

Below is one I did for an @etoillyartistry bride a couple months ago.

Power Ponytail:

Ponytails are one of my favorite styles to do! They can be done in so many ways and they are so fun and playful. The great thing about a power ponytail is that you can make it sleek and polished or give it lots of movement and body.

Ponytails are great if you have a dress with a higher neckline or a deeper back. Ponytails also are great to do if you have an outdoor wedding and you know its going to be windy or hot. You can also wear your hair down for the ceremony and if you have a hairstylist on hand for after the ceremony, they can convert your ceremony hairstyle into a fun pony so you can dance the night away!

Classic Updo:

One can never go wrong with a classy updo. You can honestly wear it with pretty much any style dress and it looks so elegant and put together. I love seeing this when a bride wants to show off her back, a strapless dress or a high neckline.

Which bridal trend is your favorite?
